When it comes to Cloud Storage both Google and Microsoft advise their Cloud services are “best effort”.  So, what does that mean for you and the data you have stored in the Cloud?

When data is stored in the Cloud, both Google and Microsoft advise they will do their best to make sure that nothing happens to it, for example, hardware failure, accidental deletion etc, but both Google and Microsoft advise they are NOT responsible should your data be lost and/or corrupted in any way.

This then puts the responsibility on the customer to ensure they have backups of their data. The good news is that there are different ways of doing this with Cloud Backup making the most sense.

For businesses, there are a limited number of Cloud Backup services to choose from with different levels of service response to issues and data security.

Here at SecureSphere we offer a Cloud Backup service for Businesses using Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 Business platforms that are based around having the data securely backed-up to a multi-cloud environment, avoiding any single points of failure, thereby giving you peace of mind that your important business data is secure.

For the home user that has their data stored in the Cloud, for example, using Google One, Apple iCloud or Microsoft 365 Personal, there are many providers that offer Backup services. When choosing a provider, consider the Cloud Backup service that gives you the most benefits for your situation and/or needs.

If you’d like advice on the best Backup solution for your business or home, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
